Commencing my tatooing career in 1980, I was lucky enough to start under the expert guidance of *Danny Robinson Sen.

After a while with Danny, I went to Perth; Western Australia, where I worked alongside RIck Luder in his Rivervale studio " Artistic Tattooing".

I then worked for a few years between the Rivervale and Fremantle studios, further consolidating a great foundation for my Skills & Art.

Returning home to Melbourne in 1985, I went to see Danny at his St.Kilda studio, working there and at Williamstown with Bev Robinson (aka Cindy Ray) for a while before working solely from Williamstown. This was closed for a short while until Bev and I refurbished and reopened as the new born "Moving Pictures".

It was during these years that I found my interest for fine art portraiture, I studied the work of Jack Rudy and Brian Everett from various Tattooing publications and had the opportunity to do a portrait of "Josephine Baker" (American Entertainer) , and so, away; onwards and upwards!

My portrait work has been Exhibited at the National Art Gallery in Melbourne. One of my long time clients; Chris, has added portraits to his collection such as Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Edward. G. Robinson to name a few. (see my Gallery Page for the Art)

I worked at Williamstown for many a good year where laughter was one of the main ingredients for the workday. Eventually the travelling across town to work each day became too time consuming, so I decided to work for other artists for a while. I eventually came to work in Thomastown where I have worked for the last four years and have now taken over the premises and opened my new studio "InkUp". I enjoy the many aspects of Tattoo Art, from realism and fantasy colour to traditional black work.

I am now in my 28th yearr of tattooing and the aim of the new studio is (as always) to provide a personalised professional service. The new studio is comfortable and customer friendly, as each persons needs are different we treat each client individually and aim to meet your specific requirements.
